Ekta Gulati grew up in Zambia, of Indian descent, and later lived and worked in Germany and the United States. At sixteen, she left home alone to pursue her undergraduate degree — carrying with her a language she wouldn't fully understand for another two decades.
That language was muhavare: Hindi idioms passed down through generations, each one a compressed piece of wisdom waiting to be unlocked by experience. This book is the story of that unlocking — twenty sayings, twenty chapters, and a lifetime of moments that finally made them make sense.
